NEPTUNE CITY, NJ - T.F.H Publications, Inc., a pioneer and leader in pet publishing for more than 50 years, and Animal Planet - the only television network dedicated exclusively to the connection between humans and animals -announced an agreement to publish and distribute an original series of informative pet care books in the U.S., beginning in the fall, 2006.
The new series, tentatively titled Animal Planet Pet Care Library, will be co-branded with T.F.H. and Animal Planet logos, and will reflect the family-friendly, informative content and style that have become hallmarks for Animal Planet viewers and T.F.H. readers.
Each book in the Animal Planet Pet Care Library Series will be written by established category experts, and will feature original, lively text, complete with informative sidebars, hints and tips on all aspects of care for each pet featured in the collection. Books will be full-color with photos and illustrations throughout.
"When you think of a household name in animal care and information, you think Animal Planet," said Christopher T. Reggio, Publisher, T.F.H books. A complete list of fall titles will be announced separately, but is expected to include ten titles dedicated to individual dog breeds, five to fish topics, two bird books and three titles for small animal lovers. Additional titles will be added for upcoming seasons and announced at a later date.
Each 112-page, full-color hardcover title in the Animal Planet Pet Care Library will retail for a suggested price of $9.95. Books will be available through retail bookstores, pet stores and online retail outlets beginning this September.
